Job Description:

Durst Image Technology, US LLC is a market leading manufacturer of capital goods for large format, label, and corrugate printing industries. Durst provides these market leading products, service, and consumables to commercial print factories throughout North America.

To maintain our position in the marketplace, we place high reliance on the Information Technology infrastructure associated with our ERP and Service Management systems. In addition to both of those core systems, we use several ancillary service providers and applications which feed into our ERP system through the transmission of data.

The individual we are seeking is hands-on and will support our back-office as well as our remote employees by aiding in troubleshooting and a help-desk role. This individual will be charged with providing IT equipment to new hires, refreshing outdated equipment, and the maintenance of our current IT Infrastructure. Recommendations and future state planning regarding the changing landscape involved with Information Technology is an expectation for this role. 

 

Objectives of this Role:

Information Technology Security

  • Ensure the security of internal and external data by managing network servers, VPN, and hosted systems.
  • Perform security access testing and ensure that systems are protected from external breach.
  • Ensure user access rights into the ERP System are consistent with the roles as established for individuals.
  • Ensure that network operating systems are protected through firewall, and information access through disaster recovery

Information Technology Integration and Efficiencies

  • Ensure that Durst is operating with IT efficiencies, reduction of redundancies, and elimination of manual processes through the use of Information Technology.
  • Understand and identify business risks associated with IT framework and provide recommendations to integrate IT systems.

Maintenance and Monitoring of Existing Information Technology Systems

  • Troubleshoot technology issues
  • Maintain current IT infrastructure and log maintenance or repairs
  • Provide installation support for new hires – setup of workstation, laptop, mobile devices, and critical software applications.
  • Internal communication systems (Avaya) and various meeting room applications – teleconferencing, screen sharing, and presentation locations.

Interaction with European IT Staff in Brixen, Italy on the following

  • Obtaining new Microsoft licenses through the Enterprise Agreements (Office 365, Windows Servers).
  • Work on new technologies for global deployments (Intune, Patch Management, Auto-Pilot Deployments, Anti-Virus Protections).
  • Microsoft Azure Administrations and setup for the global domain of durst-group.com.
  • Work through support/helpdesk issues relating to Office 365 Products and Microsoft Azure.
  • Yearly billing review for the Office 365 Products.
  • Extranet setup for Service Department Employee’s.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document and understand the current state of IT Infrastructure. Documentation of current state information systems, key IT interfaces, and understand current IT framework.
  • Provide communication, support, and collaborate with IT users regarding system updates, outages, and other critical information needs.
  • Identify current state and provide recommendations for future state efficiencies associated with transactional processing through API integration, machine learning, and or future IT Improvements through gap analysis.
  • Accountable to perform IT Risk Assessment, overall integration strategy and determination of on-prem / cloud solutions and tailor to business needs.
  • Understand system life cycles, and how appropriate understanding can lead to long-term planning with respect to IT Infrastructure.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or an IT-related field.
  • 7+ years’ proven experience in a for-profit enterprise in the position of IT Systems Engineer, or Architect, or Big-4 IT Risk and Advisory Consultant.
  • Network security experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems architecture (Sage 100) and understanding of other ERP environments.
  • Microsoft/Windows expertise a critical qualification – Exchange, Azure, 365, Servers.
  • Ability to learn new applications and communicate the benefits to non-IT specialized individuals.
