Digital Printing & Signage is an important advertising tool to convey information to various target groups. It can be used to promote, inform, identify or give directions in different areas such as the retail sector, shops, airports, stations, events and trade shows. Durst provides the printing technology to realize many different signage and advertising applications.
Soft signage, printed with dye-sublimation ink direct or transfer to textile polyester based media, provide highest quality, brilliant colors and eco-friendly and odorless processes. These characteristics are ideal for advertising, indoor decoration and home textiles Thanks to their soft and light weight material, they are easily transportable and therefore preferred applications for the implementation at trade shows, events, retail and shops.
Customer demands circle around high image quality, gloss, color brilliance, personalization, odor minimization and ease of production. A direct fit to the broad variety of display and packaging applications in the “non-food” area is the Durst UV- LED-technology. For food compliant packaging Durst provides its GMP compliant water-based printing technology, which is odorless, has no ink layer and provides excellent off-set printing quality for primary packaging, displays and boxes.
Outdoor applications want to reach consumers outside of their home. As a result, they need to be visible, durable and long-lasting. The Durst UV-LED and Sublimation printing technology is ideal to cover these market requirements and generate a broad variety of outdoor applications such as outdoor signage, flags, billboards and posters.
Indoor decoration includes applications such as printing on wood, metal, plastic, furniture and wall papers, as well as fabrics. Indoor decoration is mainly based on printing with UV-LED technology because it is characterized by a high adhesion on a wide range of materials, or on sublimation or pigment ink technology if the substrate is fabric or textile. Even water-based printing technology finds its collocation when printing onto corrugated, cardboard or carton substrates.
Industrial decoration for special applications such as wallcovering, flooring, furniture, good boxes, and industrial cans is characterized by printing direct onto wood, metal, plastic and different kind of substrates utilizing UV-LED printing technology to achieve high resistance on a wide range of materials.
Traffic signs need to follow color specifications and retro-reflectivity as per traffic sign regulations and are characterized by a high outdoor resistance. Durst UV printing technology in combination with special 3M ink sets makes the production of regulated traffic signs easily manageable.
