Such is the case with the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, whose purpose is to ensure accurate and timely shipping and receiving of materials and parts. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will also ensure accurate inventory throughout the warehouse and be required to work cross-functionally to help support both internal and external client needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Perform accurate and timely processing of shipments to and from the service team and/or customers including monitoring back-orders
  • Perform accurate and timely receipt of parts to warehouse inventory
  • Perform periodic inventorying of the warehouse
  • Responsible for cycle counting parts in the warehouse
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as needed

A bit about the physical demands of this job

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Push or pull up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Stand or walk throughout entire shift
  • Twist, bend or squat on a regular basis

 

What you bring to the table

This is the profile of what we are looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certification and Haz-mat certification and/or training is preferred
  • 2 -5 years of experience working in a warehouse or similar environment
  • Previous experience sending and receiving domestic and international shipments
  • Familiar with shipping processes, ERP and similar systems
  • Computer savvy and able to enter data into multiple systems;
    • Microsoft Office experience preferred
    • FedEx and UPS shipping software experience preferred
    • Sage and Astea experience a plus
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills
    • Ability to read, write and understand the English language
  • Strong work ethic and efficient work approach
    • Process and task oriented, with strong attention to detail
  • Good judgment and problem solving skills; readily adapt to change
  • Desire and ability to strive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to provide after-hours coverage as needed
