South East Regional Sales Manager, Label and Flexible Packaging

Location: This region covers NM, TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC. Candidates may be located near a major airport in any of these states.

Description:  Durst North America is seeking a Regional Sales Manager, Label and Flexible Packaging for the South East Region. This role is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and nurturing targeted label and flexible packaging converters for Durst’s range of label and flexible packaging printers. This individual will work closely with the Director of Sales and internal sales team to position the company to sell label and flexible packaging print systems into the label market and to existing Durst customers. The Regional Sales Manager should identify target accounts and acquire new qualified leads through various methods of direct outreach and consultative selling, such as telephone, email, face-to-face meetings, trade shows, conferences, social media and other strategic marketing efforts. It is expected that this position will require 75% travel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct management and responsibility for sales of Durst Label and Flexible Packaging Printers in the southeast region of the US.
  • Identify, prospect and connect with customer prospects for label and packaging solutions.
  • Ability to handle complex technical sales cycles involving hardware, ink and software.
  • Excellent understanding of Label Converting Print Operations and how digital can complement, or replace existing analog or toner print technologies.
  • Input new contact details and discussion information into Durst US CRM, this will require extensive networking and detailed focused searches.
  • Represent Durst North America at trade shows and other important industry specific events to network, acquire industry education, build new leads and sustain current client relationships.
  • Present the company as knowledgeable, professional, honest, and long-term focused on customer success.
  • Become conversant with company pricing models to meet revenue and profit margin goals for company.
  • Assist the Director of Sales with marketing efforts with the goal of building a pipeline of qualified leads.

 

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience and success in the printing industry, ideally including experience and established contacts in the label and packaging solutions segment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel across the region as needed, approximately 75% of the time
